The World Urban Forum (WUF) is the world’s premier conference on urban issues. It is a non-legislative technical forum convened by the United Nations Human Selements Programme (UN-Habitat) held since 2002.
The WUF9 Visual Identity is based on the concepts, colours and flavours of the WUF9 host, Kuala Lumpur and Malaysia, as well as the principles of the New Urban Agenda. Kuala Lumpur is identified as an interconnected city and well-know internationally for its cultural diversity. The New Urban Agenda advocates for a participatory, collaborative and innovative implementation of sustainable urban development.
The World Urban Forum (WUF) is a non-legislative technical forum convened by the United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat), hosted in a different city every two years, to examine the most pressing issues facing the world today in the area of human settlements, including rapid urbanization and its impact on cities, communities, economies, climate change and policies. It is the World’s Premier Conference on Cities.
WUF7 Visual Identity was illustrated with ink on paper. The idea was creating an identity with organic lines, mixing illustration and graphic design giving a consistent but different caracter to this version of the forum. The logo shows the main urban projects of the city of Medellín and its ambition to become a green and innovative city that keeps its escense while improves its quality of life and overcomes its history.
